3-In-A-Car

Date: Sunday, 14th April 2019, 9.30 a.m. start

Venue: Harlestone Firs car park, Harlestone Heath, Harlestone Road, Northampton NN5 6UJ

Email: Tess Moore

This is an informal way for you to keep in touch with advanced driving. The sessions are designed for both Associates and Full Members and their purpose is to assist you in maintaining your high standards. We will meet at the Harlestone Firs car park, along main road by Wyevale Garden Centre at 9.30 a.m. (the garden centre does not open until 10 a.m !).

When you arrive, we will assign you into a group of three (sometimes two - or even four) that includes an Observer. One of you will elect to drive first in your own car for 20 minutes or so on a course either of your choice or directed en-route. Someone else elects to go next in their own car - and so on until they’ve all had a turn. The second driver will aim to arrive at the Harlestone Heath Wyevale Garden Centre at approximately 10 a.m. where we will all meet up for late breakfast!

There is likely to be a good deal of helpful banter during TiC sessions so most points will be covered as you go round, but at the end of each drive there will be an opportunity for you all to enjoy a short and sometimes entertaining de-brief!

The whole thing is done and dusted in around 2.5 hours, it’s completely free of charge and it's good fun. No records are made of the drives - but there's usually plenty of advice available!!

It would help us to know who is attending, although you can still turn up! Please let Tess Moore know if you are interested.

Come down and have a free assessment drive, where you go out in your own vehicle for about 45 minutes drive with a qualified Group Observer who will discuss your driving with you, and give you advice about the Advanced Driving Test. Assessment and checkdrives between 09:30 and 11:30.

We can also arrange a demonstration drive on the motorway with full explanation during the drive, followed by a guidance session over the same route in your own car, with guidance from one of our observers. It’s free and could change your approach to motorways. We can also help with manoeuvring and parking
